Traction test

The most part of NIBS products are equipped with metal structures that can be tested in traction. According to the traction force to exercise when tested we have several solutions:

  • Proof test on overhead crane for SWL 0-7 tons

The most part of NIBS products are equipped with foam cocoon providing a specific flotation can be tested under their own weight. According to the size of the float to be tested, we have two solutions:

  • To carry out a proof test in the pool for the floats up to Ø 2500 mm
  • To carry out a proof test in the real environment for the floats upper to Ø 2500 mm

Compression test

The most part of NIBS products are equipped with foam cocoon dedicated to absorb a specified energy. According to the size of the fender to be tested, we have two solutions:

  • Carry out a test on our press for the fenders until Ø 1000 x 2000 mm and 100 tons of force applied on fender
  • Carry out a test on the presses of the LNE (French National Test Laboratory) for forces exceeding 100 tons

Coating Test

The most part of NIBS products are equipped with a Nibraprène ® coating. In order to qualify this coating we have defined 4 quality controls:

  • Hardness control Shore A
  • Hardness control Shore D
  • Thickness control
  • Control of abrasion resistance
  • Control of elongation resistance

 

All the controls and tests carried can be certified by an external agency (BV, APAVE, SOCOTEC …) to provide a certification to meet the standards required by the customer.

The traceability of products has set up with an identification plate bearing: File Number, customer name and Workpiece reference to enable to follow it up if required.
